CASES (SEPAR) - Professional Training
The CASES provides a training route for trainee Sport & Exercise Psychologists called the Sport & Exercise Psychology Accreditation Route (SEPAR). Completing SEPAR should make you eligible to apply for Practitioner Psychologist status via the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
SEPAR can take 2-4 years to complete. Once accepted onto SEPAR, you must engage in a minimum of 3,200 hours (comprised of 2,700 hours application/consulting, 275 hours CPD and supervision, and 225 hours dissemination and citizenship), which equates to 400 days. As a SEPAR candidate, you can use the title “Sport and Exercise Psychologist in Training (SEPiT).
